"...Victory at all costs, Victory in spite of all terror, Victory - however long and hard the road may be; for without Victory, there is no survival..." - Sir Winston S. Churchill to the House of Commons after the surrender of the French to the Germans in WWII

Alliance Expectations and Guidelines

  • War Participation

Every Team Member is expected to opt in for War! Being a Member of any Alliance gives the Player certain benefits, known as Alliance Perks ... which are gained through Alliance Levels ... which come by gaining AXP (Alliance Experience Points) ... which come from winning World Wars and STARS in World Wars.

Therefore, in order to take advantage of these Alliance Perks, one needs to be invested by World War Participation. During War, our Strategy will be called out by Leadership. Click here for a list of our Strategies.

If Leadership puts out a call to Opt In to War Participation, it is your obligation as a Team Member to follow through with that or Leadership will be put in the unfortunate position of having to dismiss you from the Alliance. If you don't know how to opt in for War ... click the following link: Opting in for War Tutorial

  • Troop Donations

A benefit of being in an Alliance that is not directly due to AXP1 is Troop Donations or the Sharing of Troops. This is due to the Alliance Gate that was repaired by you in order to join an Alliance in the first place.

It is expected that when a request for Troop Donation goes out, you will step up and immediately assist in providing your Team Mates with Troops. Please pay attention to the request. If it is a general request, then send anything you have available. If it is a specific request (such as "please send archers") then only send the type of Troop requested.

Do not feel as though you shouldn't send Troops if the requestor is many ages above you unless they are specifically requesting a type of Troop you don't have (such as Bombards/Cannons/Artillery or requesting a particular level of Troop such as a Musketeer. Remember, if your Troop age exceeds the request feel free to send. If someone requests a Knight they will likely not balk if you send them a Tank!) Even sending them just 1 or 2 Troops to let other higher ranks send more powerful Troops is still perfectly reasonable and will be appreciated ... as well as getting your Troop Donation count up!

CAVEAT! ... The major exception to the above is War Defense Troop Donations. In War it is imperative that only the highest ranked share Troops in the War Screen. These are Defensive Only Troops, and need to be AS STRONG AS POSSIBLE to ensure the best chance of a Defend in War. Because there are 24 Hours between Declaring War and the commencement of Hostilies, this will give the highest ranked plenty of time to train the necessary Troops to fill all players' defenses.

1By being Level 3 our Troop Sharing Capacity is increased by 3 Troops, a direct result of AXP

  • Team Interaction

Although not Mandatory, interaction via the Chat Feature is something that will allow other players to get to know you. It's a great way to ask questions about all sorts of things, including advice about Town Structure, Features of different Structures, Tactics, etc.

There are some ground rules to Chat, including not being offensive or overly vulgar, not verbally attacking other players, and absolutely no harassment of any type. Any Team Member who violates this code will be disciplined by Leadership including dismissal from the Alliance. Be kind and courteous to your fellow Team Mates!

  • Active Participation

After 1 full week of unexcused inactivity, players will be dismissed. The exception to this is if you notify anybody in Leadership of an extended absense (like vacations, work travel, etc.) and your absense will absolutely be excused.

New Alliance Members are probationary and the unexcused inactivity period is 4 days instead of 7 for the first month they are in the Alliance. New Members are still eligible to be excused for absense up to one week if they notify Leadership.

Inactivity cripples the Alliance. An inactive Team Member can't be utilized in War, can't Contribute Troops, and it takes up a spot that someone who would be more willing to participate could have. This is why Active Participation is so important!

  • Council Membership

Council Membership shows that one has earned the respect of Leadership. Council Members are also able to accept new Ally Invitations, as we are a "By Invite Only" alliance. However, we do not accept Invitations during World War, unless the player is a known recruit, vetted by an existing team member.

To be considered for Council Membership, you must be in good standing with the Alliance (meaning all of the above are rigorously met) and go above and beyond the average, especially in Team Interaction.

Counsil Membership is determined by the current Leader and Co-Leaders, and they have the discretion to both promote an ally into Council or demote an Council member back to Ally. Demotion is almost always due to inactivity.

  • Co-Leader Membership

Co-Leaders are strictly chosen by Leader. Current Co-Leaders may nominate from current Council Members for new Co-Leaders, but only the Alliance Leader can actually promote a member to Co-Leader.

Besides having all the benefits and responsibilities of Council Members as above, Co-Leaders can begin World War, and are typically expected to provide the attack plan and strategies for any World War they start.

Co-Leaders can also kick any member ranked below them, either Council or Ally, and are ofter requested to do so. The only reason an Alliance Member would be kicked is strictly due to inactivity, or violating any of the Codes discussed above in Team Interaction.
